Shop Return & Refund Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This policy covers purchases from the TouringCork shop at www.touringcork.ie: single illustrated e-books (€5.99 each) and the Cork Stories Collection bundle (€24.99) as instant downloads, and Homeplace map prints made to order. The section on Homeplace maps and other prints covers the prints. It stands apart from our Terms and Booking Conditions (touringcork.ie/terms-booking-conditions), which cover walking tour bookings, and our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013.

TouringCork is a sole trader business operated by Patrick Murphy, Cork, Ireland (CRO Business Name Registration 786146). Contact: info@touringcork.com.

Digital downloads and your cancellation right

We deliver every e-book the moment you pay, as an instant download. EU law gives you 14 days to cancel most online purchases, but that right ends once a digital download starts. At checkout, you tick a consent box confirming you understand that delivery begins immediately and that ticking it ends your 14-day cancellation right. We show you this before you pay, so you decide with the full picture in front of you.

Because of this, we don’t offer refunds or exchanges once a download has started, except in the cases described below.

Corrupted or undeliverable files

If a file won’t download, arrives corrupted, or doesn’t match what we described on the product page, email info@touringcork.com with your order number within 14 days of purchase. We’ll re-send the file or, if that doesn’t fix it, refund you in full. This right applies regardless of the consent box you ticked at checkout: a working product is a statutory right, and no checkout tick box can sign it away.

Homeplace maps and other prints

Standard maps: changed your mind? You have 14 days from the day your map arrives to cancel, for any reason. Use the Cancel an order page, email hello@homeplace.ie, or send the form at the end of this policy. Then post the map back unused, in its packaging, to 3 St Finbarr's Street, Cork, T12 N1NF, Ireland, within 14 days of telling us. You pay the return postage. Framed maps are large, so get a quote before you send one.

We refund what you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of getting the map back or of seeing proof that you posted it. The refund goes to the card you paid with. Delivery is free, so you get back the full price.

Cancelling before we print. Tell us before your order goes to print and we cancel it and refund you in full. You send nothing back. This covers every map, personalised or not. You can cancel free of charge until we send your map to print, usually within one working day of your order.

Personalised maps. We make these from your own words or choices, so we cannot resell them. Once a personalised map goes to print, the right to cancel does not apply. If we send you a proof, you can cancel for free until you approve it.

Damaged, faulty or wrong? Email hello@homeplace.ie within 14 days of delivery with a photo of the map and the packaging. We replace it or refund you in full, whichever you prefer, and you send nothing back unless we ask. This covers standard and personalised maps.

The 14-day photo window covers damage in delivery. Your wider rights for faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 stay in place.

Colours on paper can look a little different from your screen. That alone is not a fault.

Cancellation form. You do not have to use it, but you can:
